Diamondback Terrapins
Join Carol “Krill” Carson, marine biologist and President of NECWA, for a free fun family program on the Diamondback Terrapin, a threatened species of marsh turtle that lives in the Bourne area. Krill will show slides and videos of terrapins and the rescue and research work that NECWA conducts in the Bourne area. Marine artifacts like turtle shells will be available for viewing followed by fun arts & craft activities for the whole family. Come join the fun and learn how you can help protect terrapins and the marshes that they live in.
