PLAYGROUND CLOSURE NOTICE

BVMCC Playground
Hello neighbors!
Starting Monday, May 19th, the Community Center Playground will be CLOSED as the Department of Public Works (DPW) begins demolition of the existing playground. ISWM will be dropping off large dumpsters which will be placed adjacent to the playground for removal of the equipment. This is the first step in preparing for our brand-new playground, which is anticipated to be completed July 2025!
FOR EVERYONE'S SAFETY:
  • Please do not enter the construction area at any time.
  • Watch for construction vehicles and heavy equipment near the site. Please keep a safe distance.
  • Parents and caregivers: please talk to your children about staying away from the work zone.
  • Obey all posted signs and do not cross fences or barriers.
We know it’s tough to see the playground go (even temporarily), but we’re excited for what’s coming next, BRAND NEW fun, safe, and modern play structures for our entire community to enjoy for years to come.. all thanks to community preservation funds!

Please enjoy our other local playgrounds during this closure:
Queen Sewell Playground, 29 Cranberry Road
Bourne Inclusive Playground, 212 Main Street
Buzzards Bay Park, 90 Main Street
If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at the Rec Department - (508) 759-0600 ext 5302.
Thanks for bearing with us as we turn old slides into new adventures!
