All Bourne Rec pickleball lessons are taught by Straight-Up Pickleball, founded by Laura and Karl Uggerholt. Straight-Up’s experienced and caring Coaching Team offer comprehensive pickleball lessons, allowing players to advance through a consistent curriculum at their own pace. The instructors are excited about the 2025 season and look forward to sharing what they know about a sport they love with great people!
There are a few tactical changes in pickleball recently and top spin is definitely one of them. Top spin helps with hitting harder, keeping the ball in play, and making shots more difficult for opponents to attack. Update your game to include topspin and learn the best times to use it! Option: follow-up with “Play with the Coaches” to continue working on implementation.
Note: Students will be grouped based on level of experience. This clinic is for people who already know the rules and basics of pickleball. Students looking to learn the game or who are newer to the game should check out the Beginner and Novice Clinics.
