Bourne Rec is excited to introduce two adult basketball leagues for the upcoming season! Based on participant feedback, we are offering a 21+ league and a 35+ league to create a more balanced, enjoyable, and competitive experience for everyone. If interested in the 35+ league, please visit the program page here: Bourne Recreation: Coed Adult Basketball League (35+)
The 21+ league is ideal for players looking for a faster-paced, energetic game with a mix of recreational and competitive play. Whether you’re fresh out of college, new to the area, or just looking to stay active and compete, this league offers a great outlet to play basketball in a structured, welcoming environment.
Participants must be 21 years old by the start of the season.
Dates: Mondays, March 2nd - April 6th (Playoffs Monday, April 13th & Finals Thursday, April 16th)
Time: Games start at 6:15pm
Eligibility: Ages 21+
Location: Bourne Community Building Gym
Fee: $55/resident $65/non-resident
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, February 11th
During the check out process, you will be asked for your team name. Once submitted, we will create a drop down option for the other members of your team to select during the check out process. Each team member that will be participating must register to play. Registration will begin with spots for 4 teams. If a 5th enrolls, the team will be considered to have joined a wait list until the 6th team registers to keep an even schedule. If you are enrolling as a free agent, we will do our best to place you on a team if space allows.
Game Schedule will be released on Wednesday, February 18th
Program Information:
Because we are playing on the short court, game format will be 4v4.
Games will consist of 2, twenty minute halves.
Score will be kept, and games will be refereed.
Games will be played on the side courts, two at a time.
We will be using a 28.5 size basketball.
Teams can roster up to 10 people and must have a minimum of 7 players.
A minimum of 2 females must be registered to a team.
It is strongly encouraged that 1 female player is on the court.
If play ends in a tie, we will play one 2 minute overtime period.
Please familiarize yourself with the game play and rules prior to the first game of the season.
All teams will make the playoffs, and will be ranked by most games won during the regular season. Tie breakers will be determined by defensive points allowed.
Format and times may change based on the number of teams.
This is a recreational league. Vulgar behavior, such as profanity and/or violence, toward other players, referees, or staff will not be tolerated and could result in removal from the program.
