Shootaround - Open Gym: Shootaround 2025/26 Shootaround is a fun and flexible program offered by the Recreation Department where residents can enjoy some time in the gym to play pick-up basketball or simply practice their skills. This program is for Bourne Residents only. This is an unsupervised program, so players are free to come and go as they wish. For safety, we recommend that parents stay with children 12 and under.Please remember to bring your own basketball.All participants must be registered and signed in before playing.Community Building Policies and Procedures apply during Shootaround.Team practices and coaching are not permitted.The schedule is updated monthly, so be sure to check back often for the latest times. BYL Stix Clinics: Learn to Play Lacross - BYL: Stix Get ready to scoop, pass, and score with Stix.. a fun, beginner-friendly lacrosse program brought to you by Bourne Youth Lacrosse and Bourne Rec! Stix is a 4 week learn to play program where kids can jump right into the action with one hour practices full of energy, games, and skill building. Participants will learn the basics like ground balls, catching, passing, and shooting.Whether you're little one is picking up a stick for the first time or just looking to try something new, Stix is the perfect place to play, and learn the sport of lacrosse.No equipment needed - Bourne Youth Lacrosse will be provided sticks to borrow!Participants should bring: Water bottleAthletic clothes (shorts, t-shirt, or something comfy that they can run in)Cleats or sneakers (cleats help on grass, but sneakers are totally fine)Mouth guardDates: Thursday, June 4th - 25th, weather permitting.Time: 6:30pm - 7:30pmLocation: Clark Recreation Area, Clark Rd - Sagamore BeachGrades: PreK - Incoming 4thFree to Bourne ResidentsThank you to Bourne Youth Lacrosse President, Matt Patronick and BYL Volunteer Coaches for leading this program!
