Program Information: Because we are playing on the short court, game format will be 4v4.Games will consist of 2, twenty minute halves.Score will be kept, and games will be refereed.Games will be played on the side courts, two at a time.We will be using a 28.5 size basketball.Teams can roster up to 10 people and must have a minimum of 7 players.A minimum of 2 females must be registered to a team. It is strongly encouraged that 1 female player is on the court.If play ends in a tie, we will play one 2 minute overtime period.Please familiarize yourself with the game play and rules prior to the first game of the season. All teams will make the playoffs, and will be ranked by most games won during the regular season. Tie breakers will be determined by defensive points allowed. Format and times may change based on the number of teams.This is a recreational league. Play Pickleball - Play Pickleball - Thursdays The Play Pickleball program is for players of all abilities. Indoor Pickleball at Bourne Rec is held during the months of November - April. Players will need experience to play, and be familiar with the rules of the game. Instruction is not offered. The gym is lined for 4 courts in total, 1 designated as a beginner court, 1 designated as a challenge court, and the remaining 2 for all levels. This program caps at 32 participants. Once filled we would encourage you to join the waiting list. If we are able to remove you from the waiting list, we will notify you via email and phone.Resident registration opens the second monday of the month prior to enrollment. Non-Residents are welcome to join, if space allows, the following Monday. Important Information:Attendance will be taken, all participants must sign in prior to play.Paddles are not provided, but we have some if you would like to borrow one.Bourne Rec has 4 indoor courts, divided by a curtain. We use a board rotation system, one board for the front two courts and another for the back two courts. We ask that folks list their skill level when writing their names to create smoother court match ups.We are dedicated to offering an affordable option for our athletes; therefore, we are unable to pro-rate the registration fee. Canvas Kids: Painting with Miss Kath - Canvas Kids Calling all the mini-Monets! Miss Kath is back at Bourne Rec! Participants will explore sketching and painting different muses of their choosing. Participants will learn sketching techniques as well as painting. We will be working with non-toxic acrylic paints. Please make sure participants wear clothes that they don't mind getting messy! The Recreation Department is not responsible for participants prior to the scheduled start of a program. We ask that caregivers stay with their children until attendance has been taken and the participant has been properly signed into the program with the instructor. Participants will be dismissed from the program to the caregiver promptly at conclusion. Caregivers must be physically present at dismissal. If you require any special accommodations related to dismissal, please communicate that with the Recreation Staff prior to the start of the program.

This 4 week program will introduce students to two exciting fields of technology, 3D printing and robotics. The first 2 weeks will be focused on learning 3D design using Tinkercad, a web-based kid-friendly 3D design software. The last 2 weeks will be focused on using LEGO’s newest robotics kits, LEGO Spike Prime where students will get to design, build and test out Hoppy the Robot, send him through mazes and modify him with sensors. This 4 week program will introduce students to two exciting fields of technology, 3D printing and robotics. The first 2 weeks will be focused on learning 3D design using Tinkercad, a web-based kid-friendly 3D design software. The last 2 weeks will be focused on using LEGO’s newest robotics kits, LEGO Spike Prime where students will get to design, build and test out Hoppy the Robot, send him through mazes and modify him with sensors. Students will go home with a 3D printed creation. It’s sure to be fun and engaging!! ( Laptop or Chromebook required)

Play Pickleball - Play Pickleball - Thursdays The Play Pickleball program is for players of all abilities. Indoor Pickleball at Bourne Rec is held during the months of November - April. Players will need experience to play, and be familiar with the rules of the game. Instruction is not offered. The gym is lined for 4 courts in total, 1 designated as a beginner court, 1 designated as a challenge court, and the remaining 2 for all levels. This program caps at 32 participants. Once filled we would encourage you to join the waiting list. If we are able to remove you from the waiting list, we will notify you via email and phone.Resident registration opens the second monday of the month prior to enrollment. Non-Residents are welcome to join, if space allows, the following Monday. Important Information:Attendance will be taken, all participants must sign in prior to play.Paddles are not provided, but we have some if you would like to borrow one.Bourne Rec has 4 indoor courts, divided by a curtain. We use a board rotation system, one board for the front two courts and another for the back two courts. We ask that folks list their skill level when writing their names to create smoother court match ups.We are dedicated to offering an affordable option for our athletes; therefore, we are unable to pro-rate the registration fee. Refunds will not be issued for missed sessions, unless cancelled by Rec. We do not allow participants to "sub-out" their seat for a missed session. Often times, we have a wait list and all open spots must be offered to them first. To participate, you must be enrolled and listed on our attendance records.

Canvas Kids: Painting with Miss Kath - Canvas Kids Calling all the mini-Monets! Miss Kath is back at Bourne Rec! Participants will explore sketching and painting different muses of their choosing. Participants will learn sketching techniques as well as painting. We will be working with non-toxic acrylic paints. Please make sure participants wear clothes that they don't mind getting messy! The Recreation Department is not responsible for participants prior to the scheduled start of a program. We ask that caregivers stay with their children until attendance has been taken and the participant has been properly signed into the program with the instructor. Participants will be dismissed from the program to the caregiver promptly at conclusion. Caregivers must be physically present at dismissal. If you require any special accommodations related to dismissal, please communicate that with the Recreation Staff prior to the start of the program.

Play Pickleball - Play Pickleball - Thursdays The Play Pickleball program is for players of all abilities. Indoor Pickleball at Bourne Rec is held during the months of November - April. Players will need experience to play, and be familiar with the rules of the game. Instruction is not offered. The gym is lined for 4 courts in total, 1 designated as a beginner court, 1 designated as a challenge court, and the remaining 2 for all levels. This program caps at 32 participants. Once filled we would encourage you to join the waiting list. If we are able to remove you from the waiting list, we will notify you via email and phone.Resident registration opens the second monday of the month prior to enrollment. Non-Residents are welcome to join, if space allows, the following Monday. Important Information:Attendance will be taken, all participants must sign in prior to play.Paddles are not provided, but we have some if you would like to borrow one.Bourne Rec has 4 indoor courts, divided by a curtain. We use a board rotation system, one board for the front two courts and another for the back two courts. We ask that folks list their skill level when writing their names to create smoother court match ups.We are dedicated to offering an affordable option for our athletes; therefore, we are unable to pro-rate the registration fee. Refunds will not be issued for missed sessions, unless cancelled by Rec. We do not allow participants to "sub-out" their seat for a missed session. Often times, we have a wait list and all open spots must be offered to them first. To participate, you must be enrolled and listed on our attendance records.
